Meet the Team

Gregory A. Aarons, Ph.D.: Project Director and Trainer


Dr. Aarons is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and is a faculty member in the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Aarons' current research is funded by the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). His research focuses on training health care managers and supervisors to become effective leaders and to successfully lead evidence-based practice implementation. Dr. Aarons led the development of the LOCI training, and participated as a coach and trainer in the first two iterations of the LOCI training. Click here to learn more about Dr. Aarons.

Mark Ehrhart, Ph.D.: Project Associate and Trainer


Dr. Ehrhart is a Professor of Psychology at San Diego State University (SDSU) and is the associate chair of the Department of Psychology. Dr. Ehrhart's research focuses on leadership and strategic climate, including climate for implementation. His current research focuses on further developing a measure of implementation climate. He played an integral role as the organizational and leadership consultant during the development of the LOCI training and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the LOCI training. Joanna Moullin, Ph.D.: Project Trainer and Coach


Dr. Moullin is a Postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Moullin’s research focuses on the implementation of evidence-based practice, programs and services, in both developed and underdeveloped community and health systems. Dr. Moullin recently completed her Ph.D. in Implementation Science between the University of Technology Sydney, Australia and the University of Granada, Spain. In the LOCI project Joanna will be involved in the leadership training and coaching.

Elisa Torres, M.S.: LOCI Training Coordinator


Elisa is currently the data and consulting coordinator for Dr. Gregory Aarons at University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She recently obtained her Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Diego State University. Joella Phillips: Project Coordinator


Joella is the Research Coordinator for the LOCI project, as well as for Dr. Aarons' other ongoing research studies.  She will be coordinating the next iteration of the LOCI training.
